Broadcaster John Shaw died in November 2013 after a short but sudden illness.
John was our Master of Ceremonies at last years 2013 Nottingham St Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade. John was a real English gent, who loved many things Irish, in particular Irish Music and culture. He was real professional and researched everything and then gave it his all – the lads from Na Fianna were impressed with what he knew already about them.
Whilst at BBC Radio Nottingham and at Radio Trent John supported the early days of the Nottingham St Patrick’s Parade and Nottingham Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann events. Thanks John.
