Headlining the entertainment in Old Market Square on St Patrick's Day are The Hurling Boys - a four piece multi instrumental acoustic band who sing rousing choruses and gentle ballads. They also enthrall you with haunting airs and wild ceili music.

It is in the province of Leinster and is part of the South-East Region. It is named after the town of Kilkenny. The county was based on the historic Gaelic kingdom of Ossory (Osraighe), which is also the basis of the Diocese of Ossory. According to the 2011 census the population of the county is 95,419.

Why we celebrate

Every year since 2000 we celebrate St Patrick's Day in Nottingham on March 17th. Saint Patrick was a Christian missionary and is the patron saint of Ireland along with Brigid of Kildare and Columba.

LIFE’S TOO SHORT NOT TO BE IRISH (Well for one day at least!) Nottingham’s St Patricks day parade is coming your way!! Monday March 17th 11:30am-1:00pm departing from the Forest (Mansfield Rd) to the Market Square. We would like you to join us in our community celebration. For a few hours we would like your help in making Nottingham as Irish as can be. Wave a flag! Decorate your home / business! Come out and cheer on the parade! Thank you! Your support is appreciated!!
