Michael Hannon died just before Christmas 2007 and was well known throughout the Irish Community in Britain both as a poet and a prose writer. His writings were a voice for the generation of Irish people, who came to Nottingham in the 1950’s. We will miss his singing and his rendition of ‘The Little Box of Shamrock’, but Michael will live on in our memories and in his writings.

Call for Support
LIFE’S TOO SHORT NOT TO BE IRISH (Well for one day at least!) Nottingham’s St Patricks Festival is coming on March 17th! We would like you to join us in our community celebration. For a few hours we would like your help in making Nottingham as Irish as can be. Wave a flag, decorate your home or business, come out and enjoy the entertainment in Market Square!
