Limerick has been chosen as our twin for the 2026 Nottingham St Patrick’s Festival. We are delighted that we are twinning this year with the office of the elected mayor of the city and county of Limerick, Mr John Moran. Letters of greetings and informal twinning will be shared on the day.

Grand Marshall
We are delighted to announce that our Grand Marshall for 2026 is Michael Dawson. A long time resident in Nottingham, he is originally from Croom, county Limerick. In his youth he played Ireland’s greatest sport – and one of the world’s fastest ball sports – hurling. Michael will be joined on St. Patrick’s Day by his extended family.
